Ms. White is a graduate of Howard
University School of Law where she graduated in the top 25% of her
class. Ms. White was a member of the Social Justice law Review at
Howard. She also received the CALI Award in Legal Drafting from Howard
in 2002.
Ms. White obtained her first glimpse
of
the legal profession while in college. She spent her college summers
employed by the Law Office of Stephen T. Mitchell in New York. During
law school, Ms. White gained invaluable legal experience through various
internships. Ms. White interned for the Honorable Cornelius Blackshear
at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Between her second and third year of law school, Ms. White interned at
Pension Benefits Guaranty Corporation involving herself in bankruptcy
and ERISA issues at that company. While in her second and third year of
law school, Ms. White was employed by both Liotta, Dranitzke & Engel,
LLP and Gaffney & Schember, P.C. At those law firms, she was exposed to
real estate issues, employment discrimination matters, and probate and
estate matters.
Post graduation, Ms. White accepted a
position with Valentine Legal Group, LLC as an associate. While there
she litigated a full range of family law cases, bankruptcy issues and
other legal matters.
